• Q: How to replace the air hose outlet duct on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

  A: To remove or replace the air cleaner outer duct, remove the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube quick connect with the air cleaner outer duct. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the Throttle Body and disconnect the duct from the Throttle Body, then loosen from the maf/iat sensor and remove the duct from both the maf/iat sensor and from the vehicle. During installation, align the air cleaner outlet duct to the vehicle and align the maf/iat sensor and tighten the clamp at the maf/iat sensor at 4 n.m (35 lb in). Next, install the duct to the Throttle Body and clamp the duct at the Throttle Body to the same torque specification. Lastly connect the pcv fresh air tube quick connect fitting at the air cleaner outlet duct and reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor.
