The first step requires removing the upper Intake Manifold. First detach the retaining clip which holds the fuel pipe and then disconnect the fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Injector rail. Compressed air should be directed through the Intake Manifold opening to eliminate any remaining debris in that area. Before removing the Fuel Rail bolts you must protect the injector electrical connector terminals and spray tips then support the Fuel Rail during the extraction process. Adequately cap all fittings together with plugging the holes will prevent contamination. The procedure requires you to take out the Fuel Rail carrying fuel injectors before disconnecting their electrical connectors and unclipping the electrical connector lock.
