How to replace the engine front timing cover on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500?

To replace the engine front cover, remove the water pump, crankshaft balancer and the oil pan. Remove CKP sensor and disconnect the engine wire harness clip. Discard the O-ring seal and remove the CKP sensor. Reattach a new front cover, and clean all sealing surfaces, and attach sensors. Finally, replace the engine shield and bolts.
