How to replace the hood latch on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic?

In order to replace hood latch, lift the hood and push off the upper radiator support baffle. Take out the bolts of the hood release latch, and unplug the hood ajar indicator switch connector. Install the latch, position its height and make sure that the hood is even with the fenders, after which the baffle is installed again.
