Obtain the stuck A/C Orifice Tube then use both a heat gun and hair dryer to apply heat on the inlet pipe at 7 mm (0.25 in) from each dimple while ensuring the pipe remains at a safe temperature. The A/C Orifice Tube remover and installer (J 26549-E) will enable you to hold the A/C Orifice Tube as you implement both twisting and push-pull actions to extract it during heat application. Safety measures begin with placing the shorter screen segment first inside the Evaporator while applying 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the o-ring seal. Select the A/C Orifice Tube remover and installer (J 26549-E) to put in the A/C Orifice Tube followed by new sealing washers for the Evaporator tube before reattaching the Evaporator hose to the Evaporator. Fasten the Evaporator hose retaining nut to the Evaporator before tightening it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Evacuation and recharge procedures following a leak test on components fittings will be completed using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
