How to replace the Automatic Transmission Range Selector Shift Cable on 2007 GMC Acadia?

In order to substitute the Shift Cable, use the parking brake and chock the wheels. Take the floor console panel out, detach the shift cable at the shift lever pin and remove it at the transmission control lever base. Install the new cable, all the connections should be safe, and the shift cable should be adjusted and the parking brake can be released.
