To replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on 4l60-e/4l65-e/4 l70-e transmission, first, lift and properly support the vehicle. Take the vss electrical connector off, pull off the vss bolt and the vss . Remove the o-ring seal prior to installing the new o-ring seal onto the vss and applying a very light coat of transmission fluid. Next, install the vss and make sure to comply with the fastener notice. Secure the vss with the bolt and tighten it to 11 n.m (97 lb in) and reconnect the vss electrical connector. Finally, you should lower the car and fill in the fluid as needed.
