How to replace a shock absorber with a torsion bar on 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic?

In order to fit a torsion bar in lieu of a shock absorber, uplift and support the vehicle, and support the lower control arm. Take out the upper insulator and shock absorber mounting bolts. Push out bottom shock mounting bushing. Install a new shock absorber, align it correctly and tighten the nuts accordingly. Properly dispose the old shock absorber.
