How to Service and Repair a Hood Latch on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

The latch of the hood is to be replaced by removing the support of the upper fascia by opening the hood. Note the position of the latch and remove the latch bolts and release cable and electrical connector. Fit the new latch, reconnect the cable and tighten the bolts. Tilter the hood, as required, and re-fit the fascia support.
