Between the Exhaust Manifold and replacement of its heat shield, first get rid of the three shielding bolts before extracting the shield from the manifold system. You must mount the heat shield onto the Exhaust Manifold before installing the bolt hardware according to the fastener notice and finally tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
