2007 Chevrolet Corvette Oil Cooler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: To change the auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler, raise together with the support of the vehicle, first. Remove the left side fender liner and the left side wheelhouse extension and then install your oil drain pan under car. Safely detach the Engine Oil Cooler hose/pipe from the outer Oil Cooler and idle the outer Engine Oil Cooler releasing attaching bolts of it and pulling off the cooler itself. Irrevocably dispose of Engine Oil Cooler hose/pipe seals. For installation, first place on new Engine Oil Cooler hose/pipe seals, then place the outer Engine Oil Cooler back in place, but only tighten on the retaining bolts a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in). Once the oil drain pan has been removed, check to see that the quick connect fitting is correctly installed through engaging it by pushing it on and pulling it back. Reconnect the Engine Oil Cooler hose/pipes back to the outside Oil Cooler and the left wheelhouse extension and the left fender liner. Lastly, replace the oil into the engine and verify whether there are any leaks.
