To access the wiring harness tie strap removal you first need to cut the front air deflector and detach the generator-strapped harness. Begin by removing the lower generator mounting bolt next then lift off the generator from its bracket to reach both the connector and generator output bat terminal nut. The procedure starts by removing the wire harness electrical connector from the generator for further work. Then, install a protective boot on the generator output battery terminal to make it operational. Finally, remove the metal nut from the generator output battery terminal to disconnect the high-power cable electrode end. Set the new generator on the same location where the original unit was installed. The generator output battery terminal receives the battery positive lead.
