Replacement of the Crankshaft Position Sensor begins withemptying the Intake Manifold. Disconnect the wiring connector on the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor before removing its bolt and sensor hardware. Install the Crankshaft Position Sensor after applying engine oil to its o-ring seal. Then finish sensor installation by rethreading the bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Affix the ckp sensor bolt with 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. Connect the wiring harness electrical connector from the ckp sensor to reinstall the Intake Manifold. Conclude the learning process by performing the ckp system variation learn procedure.
