How to replace Knock Sensor 2 on 2007 Buick Lucerne?

New Knock Sensor, remove the Knock Sensor heat shield bolts and the shield. Drain the cooling system and make sure that you carefully manage the hot engine coolant to prevent burns and remember that there is still coolant in the engine's water jacket. Remove the Knock Sensor wiring harness electrical connector at the Knock Sensor, and then remove the Knock Sensor. For installation, also do not add thread sealant to sensor threads as it is factory coated and extra sealant can affect detonation detection. Mount the Knock Sensor in place and tighten it to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Connect the Knock Sensor wiring harness electrical connector and install the heat shield by tightening the bolts using 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Finally, fill the cooling system.
