How to replace Automatic Transmission Shift Levers with the Tow/Haul switch on 2006 GMC Yukon?

In order to change the shift lever in the A/T shifter, turn off the SIR system. Take out the steering column trim covers and unhook the traction control harness. Take off the shift lever holding screw and unscrew the shift lever. Install again by touching the shift lever and hooking it in and then re-attach the harness and trim covers.
