How to replace the auxiliary positive battery cable from the battery relay to the starter on 2006 GMC Sierra 3500?

The replacement process for the positive cable between the battery Relay and Starter requires first detaching the auxiliary battery negative cable followed by boot relocation. First the auxiliary positive Battery Cable nut should be unfastened before removing the cable from the auxiliary Relay and battery tray clip. The vehicle must be raised then secured before the auxiliary cable clip bolt from the frame can be removed along with the Starter lead nut and auxiliary positive Battery Cable from the Starter stud. Insert the new auxiliary positive Battery Cable onto the Starter stud before you secure it with a Starter lead nut tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). After mounting the auxiliary cable clip bolt onto the frame you must tighten it to 10 n.m (89 lb in) before dropping the vehicle below floor level. The new auxiliary positive Battery Cable clip should be placed on the battery tray before connecting the cable to the auxiliary Relay while tightening the nut to 8 n.m (71 lb in force). The boot placement should follow by reattaching the negative auxiliary Battery Cable.
