How to replace the upper ball joint on 2006 Chevrolet SSR?

In order to change the upper ball joint, lift the vehicle and support it, take away the tire, and undo the steering knuckle. The upper ball joint retaining clip and boot are removed and a ball joint remover is used to remove it. Install a new joint, tighten, reconnect the steering knuckle and check the alignment.
