How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the endgate on 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 3500?

To remove the emblem/nameplate on the endgate, cover up the endgate with tape to protect it and to place the emblem/nameplate appropriately. Warm emblem/nameplate using a heat gun and then cut it off very carefully using a plastic tool. Wipe off the surfaces, heat the endgate and make the new emblem/nameplate stick, making sure it is adhered properly.
