How to replace the canister purge valves on 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

In order to substitute the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purse solenoid valve, eliminate the air cleaner outlet resonator. Unscrew the valve tube and electric connector. Take off the purge solenoid and place the new one on the intake manifold and ensure that it is secured and then the various components that had to be connected are reconnected and the resonator is then reattached.
