How to replace the Hood Cable on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to fit the Hood Cable, open the hood and take off the support of the upper fascia. Note position of the latch, then disassemble the latch bolts and take off the cable. Get the side trim panel, hush panel and knee bolster out. Installation requires connecting a new cable with a wire, and then reconnecting all the parts.
