A first step involves removing the center trim bezel before starting the shift indicator replacement. First disconnect the electrical connector when you have taken out the screws that lock the shift indicator to the center console trim bezel. The shift indicator requires removal out of the center trim bezel. Apply the shift indicator to the center trim bezel by placing it at the center position then secure it with screws which need to be tightened to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.). After the electrical connection operation you must attach the center trim bezel to the center stack for proper functionality.
