How to replace the door lock on 2006 Cadillac XLR?

In order to change the door lock, adjust the seat forward, unplug the battery and take out the door sill trim and B-pillar trim panel. Unscrew the lock out of the body access hole, disconnect electrical connector and pull off lock cover. Install the new lock, and all connections are made secure, and check its functions and then put together the trim and the seat.
