To change the automatic transmission fluid and filter of 5L40-E/5L50-E, lift up the vehicle and empty the fluid. Check to see whether discoloured, then fit in a new drain plug. Wipe off fluid pan, wash parts and change filter and seals. Install the pan again, screw bolts, and filling the transmission.
