How to replace the drive belt for the generator and water pump on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

First to replace the Drive Belt for the generator and Water Pump start by rotating the Drive Belt tensioner clockwise until tension is released which allows releasing the Drive Belt from the Water Pump Pulley. First disconnect the Drive Belt from the Water Pump Pulley followed by removing it from the accessory drive pulleys. Place the Drive Belt onto the Crankshaft Pulley followed by the tensioner and the generator before turning the tensioner clockwise to install the belt on the Water Pump and then gradually release the tensioner. Proper alignment and complete seating of the Drive Belt inside all accessory drive pulleys make up a crucial part of the installation process.
