Start the process by taking down the battery negative cable along with the fuel injector sight shield removal. Begin by separating the cable retaining clip from its stud on the shock tower while also removing the bolt which holds the battery negative cable onto the shock tower. Disconnection of the Instrument Panel Harness Connector and cable retaining clips from the engine bracket follows the separation of the battery negative cable. First remove the bolt holding the battery negative cable in place on the engine block afterward extract the battery negative cable. To install the new battery negative cable you should place it on the engine block after which you should bolt it and tighten it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Connect the Instrument Panel Harness Connector to the battery negative cable after securing cable retaining clips to the engine bracket. Screw the bolt that secures the battery negative cable to the shock tower while applying 10 n.m (89 lb in) of torque and then install the cable retaining clip to the shock tower stud. Reinstall the fuel injector sight shield followed by reconnecting the battery negative cable.
