The removal of rear Bumper fascia screws from both sides of the rear quarter panel can be achieved by using door trim pad and garnish clip remover tool (J 38778). The door trim pad and garnish clip remover (J 38778) should be used to extract push-in retainers from both the rear impact bar portion and the upper tabs on the right and left fascia pieces of the rear Bumper. Safely remove each ball stud from the rear Bumper fascia sides and take out part of the fascia from the automobile. The rear parking assist electrical connector needs disconnecting before proceeding to fully remove the rear fascia. The next step involves taking off the rear parking assist object sensor from the rear Bumper fascia as well as the energy absorber from the same area. Installation begins with mounting the energy absorber onto the rear fascia yet the rear parking assist object sensor gets installed to the rear Bumper fascia. Install the rear Bumper fascia partially while connecting its electrical connector and placing it into its vehicle position. Begin installation by engaging the ball stud at the edges of the rear Bumper fascia before inserting push-in retainers at the center hole first and then working from the bottom section to the upper area.
