How to replace the rear quarter window motor on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

The first step to change the rear quarter window actuator begins with removing the rear interior trim panel to access the actuator followed by disconnecting its electrical connection. The actuator arm needs to be disconnected from the window hinge screw before uninstalling the actuator retaining nuts in order to extract the actuator from the vehicle. The window bracket should be fastened to its window frame by a 2.0 mm (0.08 in) diameter pin. After installing the actuator on its mounting studs you should tighten the retaining nuts to 7 n.m (2 lb in). Connect the electrical connector . Before changing an old actuator users need to properly mount the window latch bracket to the window frame through pinning. Set the bellcrank at a 45-degree angle with respect to the vertical edge on the window side sheet metal and operate the body side power window switches (1 or 2) located at the overhead console to accomplish this position. Tighten the screw between the window bracket and actuator arm until reaching a 45-degree angle of the bellcrank arm while keeping it parallel to the sheet metal flange at 5 n.m (44 lb in). The last step includes taking out the window bracket from the frame pin before checking the window operation and installing the rear interior trim panel.
