How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

To replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1, initially lift and secure the vehicle. Remove CPA retainer connector position assurance and then HO2S electrical connector. Remove the bank 1 HO2S . At installation, a specific anti-seize compound should be applied to the threads; This compound is composed from liquid graphite and glass beads, and new or service replacement sensors are already coated with it. In case of reinstallation of the old sensor, decorate the threads with GM P/N 12377953 or its alternative. Screw on the bank 1 HO2S and tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). The vehicle needs to be lowered while reconnecting the HO2S electrical connector and the CPA retainer.
