Start by opening the rear compartment to remove screws from the tail lamp before proceeding with the replacement of back up or sidemarker or stop or turn signal bulbs on a sedan. The tail lamp requires removal by first removing the wing nut and side trim panel from inside the rear compartment. Pull the tail lamp backward until it releases from the quarter panel position then disconnect the electrical connector at the tail lamp wiring harness. To remove and replace the tail lamp and stoplamp and back up lamp sockets twist each component counterclockwise and eliminate the bulbs inside. To begin the installation process insert new bulbs into the tail lamp as well as the stop and back up lamp sockets before using a clockwise motion to secure all components fully. Connect the electrical connector to the tail lamp wiring harness before laying the tail lamp on the quarter panel while making sure both locking pins have complete insertion.
