How to Replace Automatic Transmission Shift Levers on 2005 Chevrolet Aveo?

The Automatic Transmission Shift Levers replacement process needs negation of the Battery Cable power first. You must remove the floor console followed by disconnecting wiring harness connectors from the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers. The control cable adjusting nut should be loosened first before removing the control cable from its connection with the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly. Unfasten the mounting bolts from the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly for its removal. Secure the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly by inserting its mounting bolts then tighten them to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). The control cable should be attached to the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly while the control cable adjusting nut should be tightened to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). The harness connector needs reattachment while adjusting the control cable before reinstalling the floor console followed by reconnection of the negative Battery Cable.
