How to replace the tailgate handle on 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?

The avalanche Tailgate Handle replacement process starts by taking off the Tailgate Handle bezel and disengaging Tailgate Handle linkage rod retainers. Before handling the tailgate one must remove three bolts from the handle's tailgate connection. The tailgate spoiler and handle must then be taken off. Position the new handle within the tailgate while you install the 3 bolts securely tightening to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Put the tailgate spoiler back in place before reconnecting the handle linkage rods then correct the Tailgate Latch position. The Tailgate Handle bezel should be reattached during the final phase.
