How to Perform an Alternator Replacement on 2005 Buick Rainier?

In order to change the generator, reconnect the battery negative cable and take off the drive belt. Dismount the battery positive cable nut of the generator, the engine lift hook, and the generator mounting bolts. Install the new generator, re-connect the battery and re-have the drive belt back on.
