Before extracting the coolant temperature sensor drain an appropriate amount of coolant while simultaneously removing its electrical connector. Installation requires placement of the new coolant temperature sensor followed by tight torque to max of 22 N.m (16 lb ft). Reconnect the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector. The cooling system should undergo a complete inspection followed by necessary fluid additions before completion of the operation.
