How to replace the thermostat on a 3.1L engine on 2005 Buick Century?

Remove air cleaner intake duct and partially drain cooling system. Reposition hose clamp with Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185), detach radiator inlet hose, exhaust crossover pipe, water outlet housing bolts, housing and gasket. Extract thermostat, clean surfaces, then install thermostat, gasket, housing, bolts, crossover pipe, hose, hose clamp, duct, and refill cooling system.
