How to replace the intake Cam Gear on 2004 GMC Envoy?

To replace the intake camshaft sprocket, remove the camshaft cover and rotate the crankshaft to bring the #1 piston to Top Dead Center. Mark the timing chain link Install the Camshaft Holding Tool Timing chain retention tools. Remove the intake camshaft sprocket bolt and clean and reinstall the sprocket and tighten the bolt. Finally, remove the tools and install the camshaft cover back.
