How to Replace the Front Rack and Pinion Steering Gear on 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

In order to change the rack and pinion, lift up the car and install a drain pan to the base. Take off the tires, and then the outer tie rods. Disconnect them using a puller. Take out the lower intermediate shaft, the rack and pinion. Before installing, lubricate the inner tie rod threads, reinstall the parts and adjust the steering system accordingly.
