How to replace the front door striker on 2004 Chevrolet SSR?

In order to replace the front door striker, first take off the screws which hold the striker on then remove the shims and the striker. Then, mount the shim striker and attach it using the screws. Close the door to align the striker, open the door and tighten the screws to the suggested torque.
