How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve in an A/C system on 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

In order to replace the thermal expansion valve (TXV), drain the refrigerant out of the A/C system. Unattach evaporator tubes and seal them in order to avoid contamination. Take out the TXV, take out sealing washers, and put in new washers. Lastly, empty drain and recharge the A/C system and do leak test.
