It remains crucial to use either a 32 mm (1 1/4 inch) socket or an Oil Filter wrench specifically on the hex of the Oil Filter cap. Install either a 32 mm (1 1/4-inch) socket wrench on or an Oil Filter wrench onto the outer diameter of the Oil Filter cap to extract the filter-cap assembly.
