How to replace the auxiliary evaporator core on 2004 Chevrolet Express 3500?

In order to change the auxiliary evaporator core, unscrew and separate the case halves and remove the HVAC module. Take out the evaporator core, check gaskets and change where necessary. Refrigerant is to be added to the fresh core and then installed again. Rebuild the module and complete the leak test with Halogen Leak Detector.
