    A: Begin the stop lamp switch replacement process by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable first. Lift out the trim panel when you take away the screws that secure it. Unscrew the stop lamp switch and its connector from the brake pedal bracket by turning each part. Afterward, you can detach the stop lamp switch from its connector. Place the new stop lamp switch onto its connector and go back into the brake pedal bracket while turning the assembly. Depress the brake pedal while pushing the switch plunger to its highest point for setting and let go of the plunger to test its position. Place the trim panel screws and torque them to 7 nm while pressing the brake pedal and setting the switch plunger to its highest position for final adjustment.
