How to replace the left engine mount on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

The replacement process of the left Engine Mount begins with lifting and supporting the vehicle through installation of a screw jack fitted with wood under the Oil Pan. Using a screw jack with wood underneath the Oil Pan you can elevate the engine to remove its lower engine mounting retaining nut thus relieving pressure from the mount. Before proceeding with replacement start by uninstalling the upper Engine Mount retaining nut after which remove the Engine Mount from the vehicle. The installation process starts by putting the new Engine Mount onto position while you should torque the upper Engine Mount retaining nut to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). Lift the engine using the screw jack until the mount surface enables you to introduce the lower retaining nut which should be tightened to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.) torque. You must lower the vehicle after you remove the screw jack as well as the block of wood from under the Oil Pan.
