First, you need to heat the loose emblem with the J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) from 152 mm (6 in) while rotating heat on the emblem surface until it separates from the grille. The first step is using a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove old emblem adhesive then wipe the area clean by applying 3M(R) P/N 07501 (07501) or an equivalent adhesive remover. Warm water mixed with soap will clean the area as you dry it with a non-fibered material. To prepare for application wipe the designated area with a clean lint-free cloth using equal parts isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. Use hands-only when handling the adhesive tape and prevent it from encountering any dirt. Apply 30 seconds of firm pressure to secure the emblem through its adhesive tape after you have positioned its pins (1, 2) correctly against the grille holes.
