2004 Buick Century Tail Light Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Tail Light Assembly and Bulbs on 2004 Buick Century?
A: The first step to replace the tail lamp assembly or back up along with sidemarker, stop and turn signal bulbs requires users to start by opening the rear compartment and removing the rear compartment convenience net whenever it is present through the plastic wingnut retainers. You need to remove the plastic wingnut which can be seen when you access the tail lamp first. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel to reach two more plastic wingnuts. Reshape the tail lamp lens with gentle pressure while unfastening the remaining plastic wingnuts. Take out the tail lamp assembly from the rear body panel after removing all wingnuts then support the assembly. First rotate the lamp sockets counterclockwise to separate them from the tail lamp housing then remove the tail lamp housing assembly combined with the bulbs from the sockets if you need. First replace the tail lamp bulbs into the sockets supplying you remove them then attach the tail lamp sockets to the housing by tightening them clockwise until full contact. Press lightly on the tail lamp lens while installing plastic wingnut retainers to position the body-panel assembly in place. Place back the corner of rear compartment trim panel and reinstall all tail lamp plastic wingnut retainers. Close the rear compartment by reattaching the rear compartment convenience net to its plastic wingnut retainers only if your car has this feature.
