How to replace the positive battery cable on 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Starting with battery negative cable disconnection the technician will remove the battery positive cable and uninstall it from the battery. The next step should be to disconnect the harness from the engine harness bracket then disconnect the positive cable lead from the Starter before disconnecting it from the junction block and generator. Install the new positive cable to the generator before fastening it with the provided nut while tightening to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Drive the middle of the junction block with the positive cable before fastening it using the bolt and 10 n.m (89 lb in) nut torque. Attach the positive cable to the Starter while using the nut for mounting but tighten it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The engine harness bracket now receives the harness before attaching the positive cable to the battery post while tightening the positive battery bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Finish the procedure by reattaching the battery negative wire.
