In order to replace the endgate strut , one must first remove the nut that connects the strut and the endgate panel as well as remove the nut that connects the strut and the endgate opening and then remove the endgate strut from the vehicle. For installation, place the endgate strut at the endgate opening, and tighten with the nut; ensure to follow the Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. Then, connect the endgate strut to endgate panel and fix it with the nut. Finally, tighten the endgate strut nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
