How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2003 Chevrolet SSR?

In order to change the rear compartment latch of the lid, open the lid and fold the endgate. The latch is located by pulling back the liner. Take off the latch cable with electrical connector, and pull off the latch. Install new latch, reconnect cable and electrical connector and reposition liner.
