Use J 41478 threaded rod with the integrated nut, washer, guide, and oil seal to install the seal in the crankshaft end before using the J 41478 to place the oil seal into the cover bore. While gripping the hex on the installer bolt with one wrench you should employ a second wrench to turn the installer nut clockwise for seating the seal inside the cover bore. Use the J 41478 to place the seal into the front cover opening and check that the installation runs evenly from edge to edge. Finally, reinstall the crankshaft balancer.
