How to replace the Automatic Transmission Shifter lever on 2003 Chevrolet Express 3500?

To disable the SIR system, to substitute the shift lever in a car with an automatic transmission. Either remove steering column trim covers when necessary, disconnect shift lever connector, and remove shift lever and seal. Install the new shift lever seal, then assemble the parts and re attach the trim covers and then turn on SIR system.
