Then, pull off the weather strip from the panel, as well as the old weather strip retaining spring clips if you're replacing them. Clean the surface of the panel so that there are no traces of the old weather strip. For installation, apply a spring clip at the right and left side of the lift window panel placing the lower edge of the clip to the upper edge of the auxiliary seal. Apply a thin continuous bead of weather strip sealant inside the forward lip of the lid, then a thin bead of sealant to the lower side of the lip from the corners up to around a height of 400mm (16in). Method: Position the weather strip on the panel is with the curved surface facing up from each end towards the centerline. Lift the small notch at the end of the weather strip and push it over the edge of the lift window panel, snap the flange of the weather strip into the spring clip and install the rest of the weather strip. Finally, repair the lift window panel.
